Septoject XL needles have an inside diameter of up to 43% larger than that used in standard needles, while the outside diameter is unchanged. In order to perform the injection with the Septoject XL needle, less pressure is needed than with standard needles, which enables more precise control of the anesthetic application and significantly reduces the painfulness of the procedure for the patient.
