Plastidentin is a material for the temporary filling of cavities in teeth. It is recommended to be used as a temporary filling in living teeth and whenever it is advisable to apply pressure to the bottom of the cavity.
Advantages: adheres well to dentin; hardens quickly; it does not have an irritating effect on the pulp and gums.
Indications: after preparing and cleaning the defect of a deciduous or permanent tooth, apply a temporary filling using a heated spatula. During the next visit, only part of the filling can be removed, leaving its thin layer on the bottom of the cavity as the first foundation.
