DR-POWDER FLOW 20 sand is a preventive sand intended for the treatment of the subgingival area, in periodontal and supragingival therapy.

Preventive sand based on sodium bicarbonate, designed to remove colonies of bacteria above and below the gums, viruses and normalize/increase the pH of the oral cavity. Approx. 60% of infections occur from the formation of bacterial or fungal biofilm. The supragingival biofilm contains Gram-positive streptococci such as Streptococcus mutans, Streptococcus salivarius, Streptococcus mitis, and Lactobacillus. The supragingival biofilm is the cause of caries, while the subgingival biofilm is responsible for gingivitis and periodontal disease.
