Prophy2 Set is a complete set designed to work with the NSK Varios Combi Pro2 device, enabling effective and safe removal of biofilm both in supragingival and subgingival areas. The modular design of the set allows for quick detachment of individual components (powder chamber, tubes, and handpieces), which significantly facilitates servicing and eliminates the need to send the entire device for repair, reducing downtime in the clinic.
The system automatically reduces the spray pressure to about 20% of the supragingival level when the subgingival chamber is connected. This ensures the safety of procedures performed in periodontal pockets and minimizes the risk of tissue damage.
The set works with two types of tips dedicated to the Perio handpiece:
The spray technology developed by NSK allows multidirectional powder distribution, which effectively removes deposits from tooth surfaces, gum margins, and periodontal pockets up to about 3 mm deep – including in areas difficult to reach with the tip.
The flexible plastic tip of the nozzle adapts to the anatomical contours of the tooth, allowing gentle access to the bottom of the periodontal pocket. This solution:

The set uses Perio-Mate powder based on glycine with a particle size of 25 µm. It is characterized by high water solubility, which prevents subgingival retention. The preparation is safe for soft tissues, does not cause connective tissue damage, protects root cementum, and reduces post-treatment hypersensitivity.
