Preparation for root canal treatment.

Iodoform has a long-lasting antibacterial effect, weakly anesthetic, dries the exudate, inhibits edges, does not irritate the periapical tissues. Iodoform in contact with tissue, especially with serous or purulent secretions, is gradually decomposed, releasing free iodine.

It is used for:

1. Treatment of pulpitis in deciduous teeth combined with ditalisation.

2. Treatment of pulp gangrene in primary teeth and in the pulp of permanent teeth.

3. Treatment of inflammation of the periapical tissues in permanent teeth with unformed and formed roots that create persistent exudate
