Biodentine is a bioactive dental material classified as a calcium silicate cement. It is manufactured using active biosilicate technology and acts as a modern dentin substitute. The material is supplied in capsules containing powder and single-use containers with liquid, which after mixing form a ready-to-use material.

The powder contains tricalcium silicate, calcium carbonate and zirconium dioxide. The liquid contains calcium chloride, a water-soluble polymer and water.
